“山河大学” 网络闹剧还是青年乌托邦？ Is "Shanhe University" an online farce or a youth utopia?
"Shanhe University", an imaginary university created by students to serve the people of Shandong, Shanxi, Hebei and Henan provinces, has become a meme online. It began when a group of students posted jokes online about the possibility of setting up a university. They hoped to dedicate it to students from the four provinces of Shandong, Shanxi, Henan, and Hebei, where competition for China’s national college entrance examination, or the gaokao, is fierce.
The meme quickly captured the imagination of Chinese students across social media platforms. Soon, many began enthusiastically contributing to its development. Along with the motto and emblem, a website was created with faculty lists and even an admission brochure.
伴随着高考志愿填报工作的火热进行，一所虚拟的“山河大学”也在互联网上火了起来。据央广网报道，“山河大学”源于网友的玩笑——山东、山西、河南、河北四个省份的343万名考生，每人出1000元，总共是三十多亿元，就可以打造出一所四省交界的综合性大学，面向“山河四省”招生。
