78%美国民众认为下一代的生活会更糟 Next generation's lives will be even worse
A majority of Americans polled showed pervasive pessimism about the US's current financial state — and growing skepticism that things will improve in the future. Four in five people surveyed in a new Wall Street Journal-NORC Poll said the economy is doing "not so good" or "poor." Nearly half, according to the Wall Street Journal, expect it will get worse in the next year.
More than half of respondents said it wouldn't be easy to find another job with comparable pay and benefits. That was the highest level since 2010. Inflation remains high, running in February at nearly triple the rate recorded in the year before the pandemic began.
美国《华尔街日报》发布的民意调查结果显示，八成受访者认为美国经济状况不佳，近一半的受访者预计明年情况会变得更糟。78%受访者对他们的下一代能过得更好没有信心，悲观情绪在美国社会弥漫。超半数受访者表示，要找到另一份薪酬和福利不错的工作并不容易。通货膨胀率仍然很高，2月份的通胀率几乎是疫情开始前一年的三倍。
