The National Health Commission has through a new guiding document asked high schools and colleges to screen students for depressive disorder during annual physical examinations, hospitals to screen women for the same during pregnancy examinations, and communities to conduct annual spiritual health screening for senior citizens.
The NHC's move has brought much-needed attention on something that was for long mistaken as a state of mind when it is actually a serious disease harming the patient both physically and spiritually.
有人认为，抑郁症是娇气、矫情、抗压能力差的表现，正是这种错误的观念，导致很多患者不能被及时发现和治疗。有数据显示中国大学生抑郁症发病率逐年攀升，大一和大三是抑郁症高发期，相关报道也并不鲜见，你知道自己离抑郁有多远吗？
