Danny Bowman,19,spent 10 hours a day trying to take a flawless image，His addiction began when he was 15 and caused him to drop out of school. Psychiatrists said he suffered from body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) - sufferers feel an excessive anxiety about personal appearance.
Danny took 200 photos of himself every day because he wanted perfection describes how addiction drove him to attempt suicide。He told the Sunday Mirror: 'I was constantly in search of taking the perfect selfie and when I realised I couldn’t I wanted to die.
2014年年初，一名叫做丹尼·鲍曼（Danny Bowman）的英国男孩因为自拍出了名。他每天花十小时自拍两百多张照片，但是却越来越不满意，导致抑郁吞药自杀。毫无疑问，热爱自拍的男孩是自恋的。自恋的英文是narcissism，它来自希腊神话：美少年纳西索斯看着水中的自己越发迷恋，最终抑郁，结束了自己的生命。纳西索斯的行为就是自拍行为，只不过他是用“水”自拍。这个神话故事能反映出人的自拍心理现象，就是人的自恋。
